How Do You Beat Mimes in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?

When fighting Mimes as opposed to regular enemies, you need to look at the yellow Break meter rather than their health bar. You'll still defeat a Mime by draining the latter, but by Breaking a Mime, you'll make the fight much easier for yourself.

Once you fill up the Break meter, a Mime takes significantly more damage from your attacks, thus speeding up the fight and letting you defeat them.

To fill up a Break meter, you must use your Skills rather than standard attacks. Try to find a Mime's weakness by experimenting with your elemental abilities, and have all your party members try something different. Once the yellow Break meter is completely filled, you need to use a Skill with a description that says it "can Break".

Once you use this move on a full meter, the Mime will Break and all your attacks afterwards will deal much more damage. Therefore, you'll beat the Mime much faster.
