Roughly one and a half years after the title's original release, Round8 Studio has finally unveiled the Lies of P expansion it has in the works. It's called Overture and will release for PS5, PS4 this summer. The DLC will require the base game to play it, and you can catch the first look above.
Here's the story setup, with the DLC being a prequel to the base game: "On the brink of the Puppet Frenzy massacre, you follow the legendary Stalker—a mysterious guide—through untold stories and chilling secrets. As Geppetto’s deadly puppet, you’ll journey through Krat and its surroundings, uncover hidden backstories, and face epic battles that shape the past and future of Lies of P."

I honestly was not expecting a prequel DLC, but I am so here for it! Lies of P almost ended up being my favorite game of a very excellent and crowded 2023 (Armored Core 6 took the crown for me), and I can hardly wait to get my hands on this DLC!
Not sure how the prequel idea works, but Lies of P was a great game, and dlc is very welcome.
I was expecting lies of P to come to ps+ extra off the back of this announcement. Reckon it will come before this is released.

Surprised by the few comments here … Lies of P was great and this looked really ambitious for a DLC. Very much looking forward to it … and if it can deliver, it bodes well for the sequel as well.

This was one anouncement that I was very much looking forward to. Lies of P is an amazing game, that does a lot for the genre, with great combat mechanics, story and characters.
Can´t wait to dive in this game again. Looks insane.

@Rich33 Your soul will probably travel from present day "P" into past "P" to sort out some issue that has happened in present day by removing the threat from the past.

I dont think we know why P wakes where he does at the start of the main game as imo its so far from the hotel where G is, or anywhere near enough about the nameless puppet.
Its also possible in the dlc we play as Carlo once brought back in puppet form, who initially had his memories but will then lose them at the end of the dlc (as he is going mad), leading to P waking up not knowing who he is at the start of the main game. That might explain Carlo's actions in the ending in which he is brought back as himself.
