Split Fiction looks to be another strong seller for Hazelight Studios, with the co-op action adventure now having reached the 4 million sales milestone.
The figure is confirmed on social media:
Publisher EA also released its latest financial report, in which it describes the game's "hugely successful launch" as a highlight of its financial year.
Interestingly, the game is selling at a more rapid pace than its famously strong-selling predecessor, It Takes Two.
Hazelight's previous title has sold more than 20 million copies thus far, but Split Fiction could well overtake it if its momentum keeps going.
The game has sold 4 million in about two months; It Takes Two took nearly seven months to sell 3 million.
All these numbers are super impressive, anyway, and it's clear Hazelight has struck gold with its co-op focused adventures.
Both games are getting movie adaptations, with Split Fiction's having reportedly attracted some big Hollywood names already.

Even more importantly though, what’s it’s player count? 😏
Been playing a little bit at a time with my son when we get a chance, close to the end now hopefully will finish tonight. Really enjoyed my time with it
This will shut up those haters saying the game was propaganda and all that stuff... Who am I kidding? Those people will never shut up.
Bloody hell that escalated
Can’t wait to play this. Still playing through It Takes Two and it’s a great game.
I played it on XSX but seeing as Pure Xbox haven’t bothered covering this I’ll comment here. It’s my GOTY so far without doubt and I’ve played it three times over already. Fantastic game, 10/10. I love to see it doing well in the sales charts. Hazelight deserve all the success.
I’m not quite done with this one as my wife tends to get frustrated playing it, but i think the game’s a wonder. It’s the best thing with the EA banner pasted on it in decades!
Go woke, go broke.
Am I doing that right? 🤡
@Lup but it is propaganda.
Nobody has friends. That’s a conspiracy… 😅
@rjejr
How does that imply to the game? You mean because it has two female main antagonist that people who criticizes “wokeness” will automatically criticize this? Not even..
I enjoyed the game with my daughter by the way.. we played It Takes Two and this. Was not disappointed a bit.
I do not at all mean to yuck anyone's yum, but I felt like it was missing some of the magic of IT2. Not saying it's bad by any means! I'd probably still give it a 7.5/10. Just felt like the story was relatively shallow (maybe the daughter was more important to IT2 than I remembered) and the settings weren't quite as wondrous. But maybe I've become grumpier
Just finished it tonight and got my platinum, wasn’t as good as it takes two but that final level was absolutely outstanding
@T-Bone09 yes, this game was called woke before it did well, you can't bash a success so they moved on.
@EchoRange
Hnmm.. never heard of it.. I guess because it didn’t matter.
