If you already feel like you have a full slate of gacha games to play, you may need to consider revising your itinerary: Silver Palace is coming, and it looks good.
Announced earlier today by Elementa and Silver Studio, this cross-platform outing – which is targeting consoles alongside PC and mobile – promises a Victorian-inspired open world built in Unreal Engine 5.
The gameplay looks most like Genshin Impact, with free character switching in combat and tons of elaborately dressed waifus to choose from. When navigating the sandbox you’ll be able to use a mythical steed which can both fly and drift around hairpin bends.
The official blurb provides a little more information on the plot: “Players will play the role of a Detective and embark on an adventure with a diverse group of partners to defeat the unknown enemies and unravel the mysteries in Silvernia, an industrialized metropolis built on the power of Silverium.”

In the gameplay trailer we do get a glimpse of some detective-style elements, like an interrogation which takes place after a brief stealth sequence. The combat looks largely familiar to what you’ll already find in Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves, but the boss fight against the flaming chariot is at least visually unique.
All in all there’s definite potential here, but a lot of our enthusiasm is coming from the art style, as the gameplay looks like it largely borrows from titles that already exist. Pre-registration is open on the game’s website right now, but no release date has been announced.

Kinda looks like a higher budget action-focused Reverse 1999, which is an absolutely gorgeous game.
This looks fantastic. Defenately on my radar now.
[EDIT] If this is F2P then im 100% out
Love the setting already. Would prefer this to be traditional Action RPG, but oh well.
This looks great, any news if this will be a F2P gacha or single/coop player? the former will please my daughter, the later me
@dardel Almost certainly a free-to-play gacha game.
Don't get me wrong it's looks great, the world setting and characters are my style but yet again it's another gacha. The market is getting over saturated with them and each one is a massive time sink and you can never actually fully complete them.
There's still tonnes to come to PC/Console as well like Persona 5 Phantom X, Honkai Pokémon, Arknights Endfield, ANANTA, Azur Promilia, Ballad of Antara, Crystal of Atlan, Duet Night Abyss, Floatopia, Light of Motiram, MONGIL: STAR DIVE, Monster Hunter Outlanders, Neverness to Everness, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, Prophecy 76, Unending Dawn, Strinova and Chasing Kaleidoride.
@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah, I think it's going to be hard to keep up soon. Will be interesting to see how devs try to adapt.
As has been the case for a lot of games lately (not just gacha), being a good game is not enough anymore.
@get2sammyb I was thinking the same, R1999 is another game I need to catch up with.
This looks gorgeous and I'll probably mainline the initial story but who knows after that... I fell off both Honkers and Genshin because I kept saying I'd wait until they added missing voice lines on the patches I was up to.
Has potential. But played Infinity Nikki recently, loved it but quit after the main plotline, since as an adult, I do - not - have the time for gacha games.
I don't mean disrespect, but please... not another gacha game.
I'm interested in playing one of these gatcha games (FFXIV is getting a bit boring) but I have no idea which one to try/ where to start. It's all very overwhelming for a new player.
@Jey887 I'd recommend Honkai: Star Rail or Zenless Zone Zero. Probably the latter as you have less to catch up on.
I love almost everything about this (could do without stealth, but it looked very basic rather than in depth (tedious)). Especially love the art style. But is this going to be free to play live service?
Edit: never mind, someone else already asked that. I don’t have anything against them as long as there are no time gated things and the trophies keep up with new content. Unfortunately that’s never the case.
Looks really promising!
I don't know if I've got another gacha in me. I've almost got the platinum in Infinity Nikki and I'm up to date in Zenless Zone Zero and working on the platinum. Will I play another one? Probably. But if I do I'm almost certainly gonna have to abandon one. I won't be able to keep up with the dailies.
This does look lovely though.
If it's gacha. I'll pass.
I haven't played Zenless Zone Zero in months so I'm not necessarily against playing a new gacha. It only really depends on whether or not I stick with it.
Has all the stink of a freemium/gacha game. Not touching that.
Can’t wait for the tired and drawn out conversations with no skip button.
I’ve been playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard for months now and have quite a few RPGs left to tackle (Lords of the Fallen, Dragon’s Dogma II). At this rate I’ll be playing RPGs till I’m 60.
I like the character art style. But the rest of it, nah. Not my cup of tea.
whats a gacha?
Looking very good but yeah, I dunno if I still have the energy and time for another gacha.

Why do most games that look this good visually with an anime art style have to be gotcha free-to-play nonsense...
