Skydance Interactive has announced Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will release for PS5 in the first few months of 2026. A game we've seen very, very little of since its reveal over a year ago, it had originally been handed a 2025 release window but that never seemed particularly realistic.
With just one trailer backing it, the developer has called for additional development time to ensure it can deliver the "best possible experience" by further polishing the superhero title. It says it'll have more to share soon, which could mean it'll be at Summer Game Fest next month.
You'd be forgiven for forgetting what Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is, given how long it's been since the unveiling. This is the Marvel game from Amy Hennig, designed in Unreal Engine 5, as Captain America and Black Panther team up with a World War 2 soldier and a female spy. The four must "overcome their differences and form an uneasy alliance to confront their common enemy".
It's now launching for PS5 in "early 2026". Are you looking forward to this one? Put your thoughts in the comments below.

Really surprised by this delay given all the gameplay we’d seen up till now!
Hopefully not May. This game might have a hard enough time as it is.
The initial trailer looked amazing. Can't wait till see some gameplay.
I hope I get to play that trumpet in the game!
Not gonna care about this one until they show some gameplay
Very concerned about this game; hope Amy finally gets a win!
Most unsurprising news ever. Hope they do show something off soon otherwise I'll be very skeptical about it ever materialising
To me it feels like it's nothing more than a tech demo for how pretty Unreal engine 5 can be.
GTA might get pushed back to 2027 now..
I need to see what kind of gameplay it is, the great graphic for cutscenes doesn't convince me enough.
@DonJorginho lol
Probably having problems with ue5 optimization..
