Amazon Prime has announced the second season of its adaptation of the Fallout franchise will debut this December. In fact, it has so much confidence in the TV show that it's also confirmed it's already renewing for a third season after it.
In a Variety article, it's revealed the second season "will pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas". With over 100 million viewers for the first season, Fallout is one of Amazon Prime's most popular series ever. The second season looks to pull from Fallout: New Vegas, as per the first season's closing episode.
Vernon Sanders, the global head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said the company is "delighted" to share news of a third season so far ahead of the second season's debut on the streaming service. "We are absolutely thrilled that our global Prime Video customers will be able to delve deeper into the wonderfully surreal and captivating world of Fallout."
Recently, Maximum actor Aaron Moten said the original pitch to bring him on board for the TV show had an "endpoint" that could be another five seasons away. Now we know at least another two are on the way. Are you excited for more Fallout on Amazon Prime? Let us know in the comments below.

The odds are pretty strong that it will be like most other shows that nerds say they love, and just get bad before BGS releases anything to capitalize on recent popularity.
@LikelySatan At this point does it matter? Fallout Shelter is their most successful game ever afaik and that was shadow dropped. Monetization meta is in full swing.
@heavyartillery56 It's funny that showing my age these days is suggesting that a publisher capitalize on some brief cultural relevance w a fairly dormant ip. Then again, maybe Shelter and 76 and a TV show are all the kids need.
@LikelySatan They could try to capitalize on it, but if you are Todd Howard you have the power to say 'ES and Fallout are MINE and I will be directing the next mainline entries when I get the time'.
Feels like a relatively quick turnaround for a show of this budget with lots of VFX shots etc I wonder how many episodes we'll get I really enjoyed season 1.
Looking forward to it. I'm watching swason 2 of Silo now and while I do like it, season 1 was way too slow, Fallout is a similar show but much more my speed. Was hoping for November when I read they had finished shooting so can live with December. And season 3 whenever.
I'll be watching season 2. I have the first season pre-ordered on Amazon it is a 4k steel book release. I hope every season gets the 4k bluray treatment.
I will be expecting the Fallout 3 remaster in December then.
@BleedingDreamer I've got that preordered as well, so glad it's finally getting a physical release and hopefully they all do
