@thefourfoldroot1 What balance? the PS5 outsells the XSX 3 to 1. That's why Sony are so arrogant as to sell you the same game without MP for the THIRD time (in less than 10 years) at $70 plus tax. That's why they're remaking a super modern game as Horizon Zero Dawn!!!. If they had true competition, Sony wouldn't dare.
I am really happy this is happening. A more balanced market will increase competition and we will benefit as consumers. A stronger Microsoft will keep Sony on their toes, and will see better costumer delight.
@Kevw2006 If you read my post properly I never mention any particular company. I believe in funding the projects you want to support and let any body play everything else. It is silly and mean to pay so others CAN'T play. I hope every company does the nintendo way. Good true exclusives, focus on quality and even good movie adaptations of their brand. Paid time exclusives should be illegal for everyone.
@Dezzy70 You make so much sense that hardcore ponies are going to get angry. Just fund new exclusive games, don“t stop others from playing, that's just mean and almost evil.
I truly believe that the gloomy atmosphere and the choice of a zero charisma space Karen for the lead makes this look not fun at all. This style plus the bad marketing made a sure failure. It's a pity. I hope there's a sequel.
I have never paid 60$ for a game and I will certainly never pay 70$ for a game. PSPlus provides enough "free" games to pay day 1 prices for anything. Gamepass is the way of the future.
Xbox buying ACTV is not going to change anything for PS users. Jimbo Cryan is just worried about having to do something different to cinematic third-person action adventure movies.

A late comment but I have quite a few issues with this one:
1. The pacing: even if the story is interesting, it is delivered in an acting style that is incredibly boring and time consuming. Even the shallowest conversation can take 10 minutes to give you a tiny bit of information on the lore. So an important thorough conversation for a main quest took me over 15 minutes. It kills the pacing flat. And on top of that there are frequent long cutscenes.
2. the best thing about the game is the combat system. But it is handcuffed arbitrarily for half the game. It takes 6 hours for it to get deep and interesting.
3. The camera is terrible. Specially in combat aiming. The sight often gets obstructed by walls and fences.
4. Even if the art design is beautiful, it is repeated too much. There are 6 "worlds" but once you've finished the first two you've seen mostly everything the visuals have to offer.
5. Dialog options are useless. Except on two occasions all dialog options are just for show. Your choices do not matter at all, except in 2 mini games related to trophies. The main character choices are not "Even" voiced. Probably for the better as spoken dialogs are so bloody long winded.
My score: 6/10
Great combat dragged down by terrible pacing and long cutscenes.
"Built from the ground up for PS5" is as true as "GOW Ragnarok 2020" on the PS5 hype train. And let's not forgert "we believe in generations". Man, I'll play this for "free" on plus or borrow it second hand.
@Ryany Maybe that was actually the creator's intention. Just like Bloodborne is tough as part of its charm. It's not my cup(head) of tea, but I respect it.

Man, Jim Cryan is actually trying to get the Government to block Xbox users getting a better deal. It's appalling.
