@Jaz007 I love the games, but the books are far superior to them and they end in a way that makes everything that CDPR added feel like bad fan fiction.

I haven't watched the show yet but the fact it's bassed on the books is very good news as far as I'm concerned. I highly recommend you read them - you won't be dissappointed.

It's a nice concept. Not sure it will end up working very well but lets hope so. Games like Mario Maker were so good because people actually had creative control where as this sounds like the dev has worked it all out before hand and people then stumble across these pre-made ideas and can only influence the odd sprite change or two. I'll be keeping an eye on this anyway as it'll certainly be interesting to see how it turns out.

@mantralux I have to agree with you about Kojima's writing. I'll still most likely pick up death stranding at some point, but I'm not looking forward to all the self indulgent BS he's laced it with. I think a lot of people feel that way and that's why it's struggling - when you take away the Metal Gear gameplay, what's left is a whole lot less appealing and the narative shortcomings are that much harder to overlook.

I think all the ass kissing Kojima has received just adds to the problem as he's started to believe his own hype.

Still don't like the art style at all and I'm not convinced this will live up to the past installments, but now that Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima are confirmed it's a must buy. Even if the game turns out to be bad, SoR was always primarily about the soundtrack.
