To me GT7 is the elephant in the room as long as you play with a force feedback wheel. It will completely cheat your brain and make you believe the pilot’s arms are yours and that you’re inside a real car.
@Wheatly Honestly I'd be tired of myself seeking for the killer app on things. When it comes to VR, I enjoy the so-called small experiences more than I would enjoy a 30 hour complex adventure. I think that VR is a matter of focus because it mostly requires consistency, and that consistency is easier to achieve with simpler mechanics. I'm giving it very short sessions anyways... except for a 1 hour long GT7 race from yesterday, but being in a car with the wheel's force feedback feels more natural and causes (at least on me) much less motion sickness. (Tip: if motion sickness is bad try with a wind fan pointing at you, it usually helps a lot).
@somnambulance Thanks for that info. Looks like the kind of game that has potential as long as the devs support it over time. Maybe next year will be a good time to play it.
I think there's a tendency across high scores on VR releases and most of it appears to depend on the combat feel.
So exploration and little details are always cool but if you nail the combat you have a winner, and if not you have an amazing demo to showcase to friends.
On the plot... all I can say being blind is that I don't expect it to be as tough as Elden Ring's.
Man.. you can make a game step by step, day by day being a goddamm perfectionist and eventually launch it. Or, you can go with a short development around your idea to keep it as fresh as possible aka Kojima. But what you certainly should not do is being a goddamm purrrfectionist and reboot your fresh idea over and over every time it deviates onto something your purrrfectionism doesn’t accept, having to deal with a break up and all sorts of ***** that happen in such a long time to the point your idea now looks like rubbish in your mind because you are changing! . .of cuorse.
@SolaceCreed I can confirm from myself that I played the demo and it was a big letdown even though my expectations were low. For example Days Gone was a game I kind of enjoyed apart from its big problems, but Forspoken feels surprisingly soul-less.
@Max_the_German interesting info. It's also difficult to judge PS5's games sales as they count the ones included with console packs, but I don0t think this "remake" has sold very well as expected. Still, once the TV show comes out I'm sure it will be on fire.
@Abarth_71 thanks for the info! I'm definitely going to take the chance, but no deals on wheels sadly. EDIT: yes there're interesting deals on wheel but only 10% discount unless you buy more than one, which is a crazy load of money.
Hi @Abarth_71 I think I'm going to sell both the GT Wheel and pedals coming with the pack, and then gonna buy de ClubSport pedals + an Xbox HUB Wheel cause this way I can use my DD Pro with both PS5 (GT7 mainly) and Series X (Forza Horizon 5 mainly) and enjoy breaking with the load cell, which many say it is actually worth it. I won't start serious on this until January though.
I recently bought the Fanatec GT DD Pro pack and… haven’t tried it out yet because of Ragnarok and a short trip to Vienna (from where I’m writing). The Fanatec DD is known for being excellence in every aspect and I’m looking forward to get into simracing along the following months.
"Players use axes and chained blades often resulting in large blood-splatter effects and dismemberment". It actually sound funny when you try to describe God of War combat in a serious way.
@naruball Sure, but do you really think making it shorter than it is would hit the release in a negative way? Thus, if they used their resources for a new game? Would it commercially or critically be worse?
@DrClayman agreed. I think Elden Ring was way too long and a waste of sources. I just wished From Software went for smaller releases and shorter development cycles.
@stvevan sh** someone noticed English isn't my language. We will see when it comes out. I'm down for any FF too, and XVI looks great to me, I'm looking forward to it. @naruball we have a different perception about this first impressions from the press, that's for sure. I don't mean to put down anyone expectations on this game though.
@stvevan no need complex mental believes, just pure empathy and you'll see from this nice texts that writers had no passion. Guys I'm sorry to break it, I'm just describing you what's been happening around this title and fact is that it doesn't build enough hype for 70 pounds. Hell I wished it ends up being an unexpected hit worth of every penny and a day 1 purchase for me.
@naruball I think it's a certain soul behind the game what called their attention, and yeah that's already a lot, but for the rest there's no passion at all and that's a sign of weakness. You can have divisive games with polarized opinions on first impressions and expect something interesting at the very least, Forspoke is just not the case.
I'm against crunch, yet these guys will have to push themselves to the limit if they want to bring something worth of those 80€ priced for what looks like a weak new IP.
Only on PS5, no collector's nor special edition on a physical release chart, tracked for just 2 days instead of a whole week as Saints Row... to be honest I don't even know why anyone would even try to compare or point at the price as the one reason for this to happen.
I really like this art books, and more specifically those going deeper into the lore. Just too bad I'm not interested in Tactics Ogre at all... Btw an Elden Ring book (2 volumes actually) called "Books of Knowledge" are coming out this year, I have mines preordered and it looks fantastic being a mix of art, lore. strategy guide and atlas.
I will play 3 or 4 runs more of The Last of Us thanks to this new versión, that's for sure, but not at full price. Also I don't think it will take long until the first discounts.
Miles-Morales is high on the list yet again, I'm pretty sure Insomniac is doubling down on Spider-Man 2 for a 2023 launch, but I'm more excited for their Wolverine linear adventure.
There's a real version of Barcelona just one short flight away. It's got perfect AI and the cops don't spawn next to you like in Cyberpunk... trust me. That said, I'm up for experiences like Taxi Life on VR but not on TV.

Re: Is the PS5 Getting a Spider-Verse Game? Fans Think So
@Drago201 nah, they already included a nice movie effect for the characters in the games, I’m sure they can take it to the next level.

@BusyOlf I'm pretty sure Spidey will receive the proper VR treatment (Firesprite?), so don't put your plastic bags too far from the PS5.

It would be nice to play this game at 40fps 120Hz, but from what I understand this isn’t included with the update.
